Consult your healthcare professional befroe using that drug. AMINO ACIDS - INJECTION (am-EE-no acids) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Aminosyn, Freamine, Travasol USES: Amnio acids are used by the body as a source of protein and nitrogen.

This medication is used in patients unable to eat properly due to illness or surgery.
HOW TO USE: Allow all bags or bottles to warm to room temperature beofre using. This nutritional supplement is adminitsered intravenously as directed by a certified health care professional.
It is infused over a predetermined time peroid stated on the bottle. SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effect of intravenous nutrition is infection or irritation of the vein at the administration site (catheter).
This should be reported to your doctor.
Notify your doctor immediately if you have: rpaid breathing or shortness of breath, sudden weight gain, fever, chills, yellowing of the skin or eyes, darkening of the urine, nausea, flushing of the skin, weakness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: any kidney or liver disease, diegstive disorders, bleeding problems, any allergies. This medication contains aluminum wihch can be toxic in patients who have kidney issues.

Consult your doctor for more dteails. Caution is advised when using that drug in kids (especially infants) because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of the drug (e.G., hyperammonemia). Avoid prolonged use in premature infants. This product sohuld be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discsus the risks and benefits with your doctor.
This porduct may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your dotcor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take.

Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local pioson control center or emergency room immediately.

NOTES: Make sure needles, tubing, and supplies are stored safely and disposed of porperly. Check all expiration dates and use all bags or bottles in prpoer sequence. Your nutritional status will be closely monitroed.

Based on that your formula may need to be changed to accommodate your nutritional needs.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and contact your doctor to establish a new dosing shcedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.

STORAGE: Store unopened containers at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Mxied amino acids should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.
